I'm a self taught acrylic painter from the South East of England and I've loved being creative and making art ever since I was little. After leaving school, I went to UCA Rochester to study a foundation course in Art and started working while I was there. Once I left college and started working full time, I fell out of the habit of painting completely and didn't pick up a brush for about 4 years.
Last year, I decided I would get back into painting, I had lived in the Channel Islands for 3 years and I had so many beautiful photos to use for reference that when I moved home to Kent and started getting my paints out again I just couldn't stop. Getting back into it wasn't as easy as I'd imagined, I was so out of practice and had to spend time re-learning a lot of skills that I'd somehow lost, but I loved every second of exploring a side of myself that I'd entirely forgotten existed, and now that I paint every day again I can't believe there was ever a time when I didn't!
I've done lots of experimenting with different styles and mediums but seascapes and landscapes always seem to be my focus, even when I was at school I only wanted to paint water - I love capturing it's movement and unpredictability. I've now found the materials I like to use and developed my own little style that I love being able to share with you all.
Thank you for joining on me on my art journey so far!
